Her performance is hard to forget. In just a short movie time , she vividly shows the theme of the movie---the despair and the wisdom in the love.

I finally caught this magnificent picture last week on TV albeit one-third through it. So I missed Li altogether and can imagine what she was like .... Wong Kar Wai is very gifted. Texture, color and nuance like this in a motion picture is rare indeed - so I can only imagine how stylish, sexy Li filled her role.

Curiously, this local Education broadcast called the picture "In the Mood for Love" not "2046" and where this came from is a mystery. Li has noted her displeasure with lack of good roles/scripts compared to the 90's. Nonetheless, I can see the fit for Li in 2046 and I hope she works with Kar Wai again soon. Now I am all the more excited about seeing it from the beginning.
