I am opening this thread in anticipation of photos and news from the premiere of CotGF at the AFI Fest tonight.

Please post links to photos that may appear online tonight. (Getty Images is one source; they are the official photogs for the AFI events.) I will try to play 'catch up' when I return home.

For those of us with 'will call' tickets... You will need to show i.d. (such as a driver's license) in order to pick up the tickets.

I'm just on pins and needles counting seconds to learn about all the reactions to the movie after the event tonight. Hopefully all our Gong Li fans will be rewarded with her luminous presence in L.A.

I can hardly buy the negativity registered in the first official review about Zhang Yimou's use of colors in the movie. He was a fantastic cinematographer before he became a director; and he has never been disappointing with his bold use of colors in his movies.

Hope Marla and everybody else with a ticket have a wonderful and a memorable time tonight.
